Last week I spent most of Wednesday standing in line at the X factor auditions in the O2 arena. I was up and away at 2.30am in the morning and at the O2 by 5.00am. We had to wait until 12.30 before being allowed into the stadium [my back is still killing me] It was then 2.30 before they started the auditions after, once again, all the Stage managed TV stuff, after so many hours, believe me, it gets very boring. So, for those that are a total novice like me you will love this as a little insight into what went on. For a start, outside we were all hoarded like cattle in pens for slaughter while they did the links with Dermot; cheer, screem, wave your hands, bow, jump...well this went on outside for 1.5 hours and it got seriously painful, all you really want to do is sit on your arse. That was about the only time I had wished it was p.....g down with rain, at least that way they might actually have let us in the stadium. Inside we were marched in and had to wait until everyone of the 8000 were seated before they started the filming again, and yes, we were at it again with stand, jump, bow, cheer, wave your hands, wave, no cheering etc etc etc. What was even funnier was all the 'I Luv Louie' etc signs were given out by the TV crew. Add that to the fact that certain members of the crowd were brought to the front rows to perform for the cameras made it a real eye opener. Go figure...
